Diablo Valley College students who had planned to use the 4th of July weekend to catch-up or get ahead on work were stymied by a major power outage that knocked WebCT offline, preventing students from accessing class information.

The power outage hit on Tuesday of last week causing major disruptions on campus including the cancellation of some classes. Most electricity was restored by Wednesday, but major challenges remained including “No internet, no network services, no website, no WiFi and no telephones on campus.”
