In two separate cases of grand theft, victims are out thousands of dollars.

Written by Beatrice Karnes

A locked storage shed proved no match for thieves who were determined to steal tools from Suarez & Munoz Construction Company. Sometime overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, someone broke into the locked storage shed at Hidden Valley Park on Center Avenue. Tools valued at $6,000 - $8,000 were taken.

Another grand theft was reported on Center Avenue. A woman parked her car at 2 p.m. on Sunday. When she came back to get it the next day, her catalytic converter had been stolen. It cost $4,288 to get her vehicle fixed.
