Zero Waste - Sustainable Citizen Workshop

The Mt. View Sanitary
District is hosting a free workshop entitled “Zero Waste & Sustainable
Citizens.” The workshop is all about taking you to the next level – beyond
basic recycling – and arming you with information and simple, meaningful
actions you can practice immediately so you become a “sustainable citizen.”

We are all part of the solution to reducing our energy and
resource consumption. The workshop focuses on the principles of “Sustainable in
10” – ten actions that cost no money, create cost savings and reduce your
environmental footprint. The average “sustainable citizen” household can save
over $550 per year, while simultaneously eliminating tons, literally, of carbon
dioxide per year and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The instructor, Todd Sutton,
an expert with more than 20 years in the environmental field, has appeared on
national television including Discovery and the History channels, and has
educated thousands on waste prevention, reuse, recycling, and composting.
