Women of the Wall:  How Women's Rights at the Western Wall, the Kotel, Signal Change in Israel.

Rabbi Pamela Frydman is co-chair of the multi-denominational organization Women of the Wall (WOW) whose central mission is to achieve social and legal recognition for Israeli women-the right for women to wear prayer shawls, read from the Torah and pray at the Kotel. 

She will share insights into how a Roman retaining wall became Israel's holiest prayer site and how a pan-denominational group of women with male supporters is changing the face of modern Jewish history.
