Georgia has been writing about the arts in the Bay Area and beyond since 1986.  She covered music, theater, books and various entertainment stories for the Contra Costa Times, where she wrote the long-running classical music column, "Classical Notes," though 2007.

In recent years, she has written for a wide variety of print and online publications, including the San Jose Mercury News, the San Francisco Examiner, San Francisco Classical Voice, Musical America and magazines including Opera News, Gramophone, Songlines, and California.  Throughout her career, she has reviewed numerous world premieres, interviewed over a dozen Pulitzer Prize winners, and seen every play by Shakespeare at least once.  A Bay Area native, she has spent many hours hiking in the hills around Martinez, and thinks the city belongs in the top ten "Best Places to Live" in the country.
