<p>The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department Administrative Services Bureau consists of five units:</p> <ul> <li>Employee Development – Background investigations, correctional training, recruiting.</li> <li>Inspection and Control – Responsible for performing regular departmental audits, both financial and operational, to ensure efficient operations.</li> <li>Personnel and Finance – Prepares annual budget, oversees all employee personnel matters, contract management, etc.</li> <li>Planning and Research – Assists the administration in planning and executing all special assignments and projects.</li> <li>Professional Standards – Responsible for internal affairs, development of policies and procedures, etc. </li> </ul>
