Find out what other can't-miss events Martinez is offering this weekend.

Planning your weekend in Martinez? Here are some events to pick from!

1. Martinis on the Plaza

Martinez' most acclaimed social event, Martinis on the Plaza Gala, Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 is held around the fountain at Ygnacio Plaza under twinkling white lights with the gaiety of the post-Depression and World War II era. It is a remembrance of all that is good in America, a revitalization of Swing dancing, the advent of the Rat Pack, and music that makes everyone want to dance. Elegant small plates of epicurean delights by local chefs are served and Martinis flow in celebration of the Martini birthplace -- Martinez.

4. GarageLand Rodeo @ Armando's

It's Eric Akeson's 50th Birthday and we are celebrating at Armando's!

Eric Says "This Friday the 27th at Armando's promises to be a show you do not want to miss. It's the kind of show that people will be talking about weeks and months later. You'll be in the grocery store and a couple people in line ahead of you will say something like "Dude, did you catch that killer GLR show at Armando's 7 weeks ago?", and you'll be chiming in "Like duh, I never miss a Garageland Rodeo show." And as they walk out you overhear them saying "Wow, that was the coolest dude ever". Be that dude. Be that girl that's like that dude. Just be there! —"
