I didn't get a picture, but I'll take a few next time. In regards to good runs in town, my new favorite has been running North on Castro Street towards downtown, then up to Rankin Park with the kids in the jogging stroller. A lot quieter than Alhambra when you're jogging with the kids. If you're looking for a long, hill workout with a sidewalk, you can get up and over Reliez Valley Road into Lafayette, starting somewhere Golden Hills Park. Snake Road towards the Brickyard along the Carquinez Straits is a great run as well, with amazing views of the water and Benicia.

Man we have endless trails and cool places here. Old Snake road is great and has a great view of the strait. Mount Wanda. The walk over the Benicia Bridge ( Park on Marina Vista near 680.) Briones has some great spots and views and is I think larger than Martinez in Whole. I haven't been since they redid it, but used to like Rankin parks hike paths hi up the hills, with great views and even of the cemetery, and I think it connects to the F street hike trail. We love hidden lakes paths and views. But the King of all views, and second best 360 view of land in the world I heard, only 2nd to Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, is Mount Diablo. Been up there countless times and still each time I am blown away by the view. I still swear I saw Mount Shasta from there, despite a park ranger saying it was not possible. You Can see Lassen and the Sierra's , and the Farallon Islands, very good on a clear day. Now I want to go for a hike!!

Ran to the marina on Pine Street this morning. The climb is tough but the view is superb! :-)

Nice tips. Would you recommend this even if someone was running along? Safe enough? Thanks.
