Plan On Going to the Giants Parade? Plan on Public Transit

Between the commute, Halloween and the Giants ticker tape parade, driving to San Francisco on Wednesday could prove harmful to your personal sanity.

Wednesday morning is going to be a great day for the Bay Area--unless you plan on taking a car to San Francisco. Then it could turn into a real nightmare, because in addition to the normal crazy commute and the fact that it's Halloween, the ticker tape parade to celebrate the Giants 2012 World Series win will be taking place that morning.

Instead, East Bay revelers should consider taking BART, which is running its rush hour schedule all day long.

San Francisco will hold a ticker tape parade and civic celebration in honor of the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.

The parade in honor of the Giants' World Series victory against the Detroit Tigers will start at 11 a.m. at the foot of Market Street and continue to Civic Center Plaza.

If you want to know what you might experience if you head to San Francisco, we've included some images from the Giants' 2010 parade.

The Giants swept the Tigers, winning the series in Game 4 in Detroit Sunday night with a 4-3 victory. It is the team's second World Series win in three years.
