Music on the Knowles - A Tuneful and Fun Event
Saturday's fundraiser for the MUSD music programs was not exactly Woodstock, but those who were there had a great time.
Music on the Knowles had everything you need for a perfect outdoor concert -- great weather, a great stage and sound system, a wonderful lineup of local bands, food and drink concessions, and a dedicated staff to make sure everything went well.
And it did. Saturday's event could have been better in only one respect -- the turnout. A total of 60 -- ranging in age from 10 to 81 -- came to hear the stellar lineup of local talent.
"This is wonderful," said organizer Frances Vaught. "I just wish we had more people here to appreciate all this wonderful talent. But I am so grateful to the people who showed up today to help us, and to all these great bands giving their talents for us to enjoy."
