YOU CAN BECOME A SUSTAINABLE CITIZEN

City of Martinez to Host Free Sustainability Workshop Saturday, September 8th

The City of Martinez is pleased to host a new free workshop in support of its waste prevention, recycling, and resource conservation efforts.  The free class, called “Sustainable Citizen,” is scheduled for Saturday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the City Council Chambers located at 525 Henrietta Street.

This engaging, fun, and informational class is designed to educate participants on the importance of sustainability; promote the tangible benefits sustainable practices offer you and the environment; teach you the many simple and effective ways you can incorporate sustainable practices in your everyday life; and even show you how sustainable practices can save you money! The information shared in the workshop is intended to elevate your understanding of recycling and environmental issues far beyond your current participation with your basic curbside recycling. This class is well suited to anyone interested in becoming a better steward of our environment, so feel free to bring the whole family – and become a Sustainable Citizen!
