Day On the Knowles = A Great Day of Local Music

Proceeds benefit the Martinez Unified School District music programs.

The organizers of Saturday's event -- the Martinez Unified School District Music Boosters -- say it is a harkening back to the Day on the Green events that late music promoter Bill Graham used to feature -- a whole day of music, back to back, for one low price.

The concert will begin at noon, and feature a full day of local bands from all around the area, including Alhambra and College Park high schools, Antioch and Berkeley. The proceeds from the $20 tickets will go toward music programs throughout the Martinez Unified School District.

Here is the lineup for Saturday:

12 to 12:30 -- The Bellafonte

12:45 to 1:30 -- Surrender Me Faithful

1:45 to 2:15 -- Antonio M. Silva

2:30 to 3 -- Ryan Martinez and Mike Marty

3:15 to 4 -- Brave Ulysses

5 to 5:30 -- Emmet Francis

5:45 to 6:15 -- Days Are Dying

6:30 to 7 -- Playing In The Streets

7:15 to 8 -- Modern Day Kids
