With that in mind, we thought on this week's real estate installment we'd look at the oldest home we could find that was for sale in Martinez.
This one is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 2810 Castro St. The one-story home was built in 1940.
It sits on a less than quarter-acre and is 924 square feet. It was listed selling for $299,000 and indeed it was purchased recently.
