What's The Oldest Home For Sale In Martinez?

Check out this two-bedroom home that's more than 70 years old.

There's an old saying, "They don't make 'em like they used to."

With that in mind, we thought on this week's real estate installment we'd look at the oldest home we could find that was for sale in Martinez.

This one is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 2810 Castro St. The one-story home was built in 1940.

It sits on a less than quarter-acre and is 924 square feet. It was listed selling for $299,000 and indeed it was purchased recently.

You can check out other older nearby homes on Concord Patch and Pleasant Hill Patch.

A new listing yesterday: 1104 Castro, 3 bedroom 1.5 bath built in 1904. Asking 190,000, seems like a bargain in today's goofy market.
