Show The Beauty & Character of Martinez

Friday, Feb. 15, is the deadline for you to get in your best photo of Martinez.

The city is sponsoring a photo contest for hometown imagines to decorate the 2013-15 budget it is working on. The pictures should be hi-resolution digital images (landscape format) that illustrate the beauty, character and unique charm of Martinez, the city reports on its website. When submitting, please describe your pictures and specify where and when they were taken.

Send photos to mtzphotos@cityofmartinez.org. Winners will be recognized at a City Council meeting and receive byline credit in the budget.

Note that when emailing large photos, only one or two can be sent at a time due to file size limitations.

If you have a large collection of photos, the city suggests stopping by city hall and dropping off a CD with Michael Chandler.
