Obama Starts Q&A On Reddit, Crashes Site

The president submitted an "AMA" ("Ask Me Anything") on the social bookmarking site at around 1 p.m. Wednesday. Hundreds of commenters responded within minutes. What would you have asked the president?

The loyal fanbase of the social bookmarking site and cultural phenomenon Reddit got a suprise this afternoon when President Barack Obama popped up in the news feed.

Obama submitted an "AMA" on Reddit, which stands for "Ask Me Anything" and is one of the site's popular features. Usually posted by someone with an interesting story, career or claim to fame, "Ask Me Anything" allows users to post questions and hold a direct conversation with the submitor in the comment stream.

Within minutes, the response from users overwhelmed Reddit's servers and crashed the site. Obama verified his identity on the site by tweeting and posting a photo. The president said he would be taking questions for 30 minutes starting at 1:30 p.m., PST.

So, Lamorindans, what are you going to ask the president?

What do you think of Obama's move? Is it simply a political student to woo younger voters? Or is it a natural part of campaigning in an online world?

Every administration has kept this ban. It's just flat out stupid. Sure. Castro probably had Kennedy killed, but that was 50 years ago & Kennedy did pick that fight. Time to move on. We are supposedly a free society and should be allowed to travel to Cuba if we want.

Mr. President, if Paul Ryan is elected, he will rain millions of Republican jobs down upon us, including currency speculators, Nascar owners, oil roughnecks, nuculer power operators, and the occasional Log Cabin cowboy. What will you do to address this Job Pledge Gap?! Please tell me you are preparing your own fusillade of teachers, police, postal workers, and assorted government regulators and auditors to repel and annihilate these would be usurpers! They must be made to understand the electoral map doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction! (Credits to N. Kruschev and JFK for the strategy)

Mr. President, Congratulations on getting the endorsement of Michael Jordan and other basketball legends. Too bad Fox News only knows him as a 'failed baseball player.' Can you help Fox get their facts straight? That would be a huge benefit to the psyche of entire nation. Thank you.

Dear Mr. President, If a political leader feels ignored because the opposition party is having its convention, what's the best way to draw attention to himself?
