How to Get Involved in County Government

Martinez residents are encouraged to get involved in county government by applying for one of the many District V representative openings.

Contra Costa County residents are encouraged to get involved with county government on a variety of topics including county governance, arts, transportation, alcohol restrictions and library use.

District V Supervisor Federal D. Glover has announced the openings for District V 
representatives on the following boards and commissions: 

  • Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board
  • Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County
  • Aviation Advisory Committee, Contra Costa County
  • CCC Fire Protection District's Fire Advisory Commission
  • Contra Costa County Planning Commission
  • County Service Area R-10 Citizens Advisory Committee
  • County Library Commission
  • Crockett-Carquinez Fire Protection
  • Economic Opportunity Council
  • Mental Health Commission, Contra Costa County
  • Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council
  • Western CC Transit Authority Board of Directors
 
The current openings were created by members’ term expirations and resignations. 

Interested individuals should contact Supervisor Glover’s office at (925) 335-8200 to obtain an application form.

Completed applications must be received in Supervisor Glover’s office by 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.
