What's Open, What's Not on Thanksgiving Weekend

Yes, your garbage will be picked up on Thanksgiving Day

and most Contra Costa County services will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25. Emergency services will remain open over the holiday weekend.

County Connection will not have bus service on Thanksgiving Day.

BART will operate on its Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day. On Wednesday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Nov. 27, BART will run longer trains on the Pittsburg/Bay Point (yellow) line to accommodate air travelers to and from San Francisco International Airport. BART will make trains as long as possible on Friday, Nov. 25, from 6 a.m. to close of service.

Most banks and businesses will be be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but open on Friday, Nov. 25. Saturday, Nov. 26, is "Small Business Saturday" in downtown Martinez.
