Describing the 2012 Election In One Word

Martinez Patch Facebook readers answered the call to describe the 2012 election in one word.

"Awesome." "Screwed." "Disappointed." "Brutal." "Money." "Demographics."

Those are some of the words Martinez Patch readers used to describe their one-word take on the 2012 election when I asked them on the Martinez Patch Facebook page.

It's clear from the variety of responses and the level of intensity that the election here was as fractious and divisive as it was around the country.

Thanks to everyone who joined in. Now that the election's over, I can only say:

"Whew."

Paint the railroad trestle that crosses Alhambra. It's an eyesore.

I agree, but the money is going to other places...whatever they are.
