Conservation Workshop Saturday At City Hall

Recycling, waste prevention and other resource conservation efforts will be the focus of this free workshop.

The City of Martinez is hosting a free workshop to support waste prevention, recycling, and resource conservation efforts.  The class, called “Sustainable Citizen,” is scheduled for Saturday, September 8th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 525 Henrietta Street.

The class is designed to educate participants on the importance of sustainability, promote its benefits to citizens and the environment, and teach simple and effective ways to incorporate sustainable practices in everyday life, including how such practices can save money.

The information shared in the workshop is intended to elevate understanding of recycling and environmental issues far beyond participation with basic curbside recycling. This class is well suited to anyone interested in becoming a better steward of the environment, and the whole family is encouraged to attend.
