The City of Martinez encourages people to serve in an advisory capacity on one of the city’s various committees, commissions or as a representative on an outside agency.
The City of Martinez is now accepting applications for:
Design Review Committee: two vacancies — two year term; meet second & fourth Wednesdays of every month at 4 p.m.; members can be a Martinez resident or qualified professional (architect, landscape architect or possess a certificate from the CA Nurserymen’s Association) familiar with the City.
Contra Costa County Library Commission (City representative): one vacancy, alternate — two year term. Meet quarterly at 7 p.m.; Pleasant Hill Library, 1750 Oak Park Blvd, Pleasant Hill.
Central Contra Costa Transit Authority Citizens Advisory Committee & Accessible Services Committee (City representative): One vacancy. Meets second Friday of everyother month at 9:30 AM; 2477 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord.

Applications may be found on the city’s website at cityofmartinez.org and are accepted on a continuous basis for all commissions in the event a vacancy should occur and will remain on file for two years.
Residence within the corporate limits shall be a requisite for membership except where noted. Applicants may be interviewed by the City Council.
