BART Attempts to Add More Buses Wednesday
Capacity reached before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

BART alerted riders Tuesday morning that most of the charter buses it provided to help fill the transit gap during the BART employees' strike were full.
Trains stopped running Monday morning because of the strike, but BART has been providing dozens of buses to take commuters to and from San Francisco.

BART spokesman Jim Allison said buses leaving from the El Cerrito del Norte, Walnut Creek, Dublin/Pleasanton and Fremont stations reached capacity before 7 a.m.
If the strike continues on Wednesday, he said, BART will work to increase its bus capacity.
