Suspects In Knife Assault Turn Themselves In

Jacob and Jackie Lerman are both in county jail after surrendering to police Monday.

Two suspects wanted in connection with the stabbing of a woman on the 900 block of Court St. Aug. 25 turned themselves in on Monday and are being held in county jail, police say.

Jacob Scott Lerman is being held on $1,350,000 bail, and Jackie Lee Lerman is being held on $55,000 bail.

Both suspects were being sought by police after a woman walked into Contra Costa Regional Medical Center on Alhambra Ave. about 3 a.m. with multiple stab wounds and facial trauma. Police served a warrant on the Court St. home several hours later, but no one was there.

On Monday, both Lermans turned themselves in, police say. The investigation continues, and those with any additional information are asked to call Detective  P. Salamid  at (925) 372-3452, or  psalamid@cityofmartinez.org or

Detective Sgt. G. Walkup at (925) 372-3450 or gwalkup@cityofmartinez.org.

I have found it's very hard to find a parking spot there. Another negative is the number of theRead More "constant outsdoorsmen" types lurking all around. I've been confronted several times and worried about leaving my car there.

Perhaps I am just an Apple lovin' technopeasant, but despite my frantic serial clicking on text without links, I could not find the actual story. Alas and alack I may never know why there is no darkness in "...Into Darkness" (or Lightness). Oh, and welcome back Jim!

The main reason I don't go to any of the businesses downtown is the lack of parking. What littleRead More there is is taken up by the owners of these establishments. God forbid they park somewhere else less convenient so actual paying customers can frequent their businesses.
