A small grass fire that started in Martinez on Tuesday afternoon has been controlled, a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District dispatcher said.
The fire was reported at 4:12 p.m. in the 100 block of Berrellesa Street on the far side of the railroad tracks.

Flames scorched about one acre, and firefighters had the blaze under control by about 4:41 p.m., the dispatcher said.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
