Police Log - Taking The Cake, Rocks In The Box, Garbage Fires

January 11

Bad fashion choice – A man in a maroon shirt and blue/green pajama bottoms was running in the middle of the Alhambra and Robinson streets, waving at vehicles.

Hit and run – A woman driving a red car ran into two parked cars at Hidden Valley Elementary School.

January 12

Arrest – A man was arrested for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine after he was reported parked in a truck with the lights off on Missouri Street.

January 13

Taking the cake – Someone reportedly stole a $40 cake at the Lucky store on Arnold Drive.

Rocks in the box – A woman reported purchased a laptop from a man in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Morello Avenue. She said the box was unopened at the time of sale. When she got home, the box was filled with rocks and no laptop.

January 15

Light my fire – A man was reportedly trying to set garbage cans on fire on Main Street.

Drunk driving arrest – A man was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving on Bush and LaSalle streets.

Grand theft – A woman reported the theft of her purse from Vista Way, which included her ID and $5,000.

Down the drain – A woman reported that she saw the owner of Mr. T’s restaurant on Howe Road dumping grease down the sewer drain.

Send in a roadrunner – A resident of Barber Lane called police asking for advice on how to get a coyote off the property.

January 16

Debit abuse – A woman reported that she left her debit card at the downtown Safeway and it has been used many times since.

We can work it out – A woman on Virginia Hills Drive reported that a man came to her door asking for work. When she told him she was unemployed and unable to hire anyone, he apparently became irate.
