POLICE LOG: Neighbors' Calls Help Catch Burglar
Activity from August 7 as reported by the Martinez Police Department.
Neighbors helped Martinez Police locate a burglar who was trying to escape on La Salle Street on Wednesday after breaking into a car.
The suspect, Donaven St. John, allegedly tried to escape through the backyard of a nearby house.
Also reported Wednesday:
- A suspect sleeping on the porch of the Martinez Museum after tearing the roof off a storage unit there.
- The theft of an air compressor and a generator, valued at a total of $3,500.
- A non-injury accident at Ward Street near Las Juntas Street.
