Police Log — Loud Parties and Crazy Driving

July 21

No room at this inn – A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and carrying a concealed weapon at Americas Best Value Inn on Alhambra Avenue.

Wallet stolen – A wallet was reported stolen from a car at the Martinez Animal Hospital on Alhambra Avenue.

Weed whackers whisked away – Two weed whackers were stolen from Cresco Rental Group on Howe Road.

July 22

Berrellesa burglary – A home on Berrellesa Street was reported ransacked.

No bagels for you – Someone tried to break into the Bagel Street Café on Center Avenue overnight, but no entry was made and nothing was taken.

Ballooned – A woman reported that someone in a truck threw water balloons at her car, damaging her window.

Mobile life – A resident of Glen View Court reported that a large motorhome was parked in front of a driveway for 10 days, with electrical wires running between the house and the motorhome.

Breaking and entering – A woman reported that a home on Minaret Drive was broken into through a rear sliding glass door.

Driving crazy – A resident near Pleasant Hill Road East and Laurel Court reported that two teenagers riding motorcycles were running stop signs all the way to the park and back, and do this all day long.

More crazy driving – A resident of Pleasant Hill Road and Cumberland Drive reported a group of juveniles driving gas-powered carts up and down the street.

July 23

Stolen moped – A moped was stolen from Warren Street.

Playing with fireworks – Four juveniles are seen setting off fireworks at Grangers Wharf near the waterfront.

Loud parties – A noise complaint is received about a party in the Hidden Creek Apartments on Fig Tree Lane. Another is received about a party on Heavenly Drive.

July 24

Come on, baby, don’t light that fire – An officer responded to reports of people trying to light a fire at the fishing pier.

Loud parties – Noise complaints were received about parties on Likins Court and Woodview Court.

Unplanted – A man reported that he watched another man remove plants put out near the Franklin Canyon Park and Ride by the nursery.
