Police Log: Lost Drugs, No Pants

The following information from Jan. 17 to Jan. 23 were taken from the Daily Police Log and rewritten by Martinez Patch.

January 17

Lost drugs – A bag of marijuana was found on the property of the Martinez Early Childhood Center on Arch Street.

Petty theft – A briefcase was stolen from an unlocked car on Holiday Hills Drive. Some letters from Pittsburg were found on the lawn in front of the home.

Bag stolen – A black bag was stolen from a car parked at the Marina.

Disagreeable protestor – A protestor at the post office on Alhambra Avenue was reportedly harassing people and getting irate if they didn’t agree with him.

Burglary – A residence on Fern Leaf Court was burglarized; the front door window was kicked in.

No fare – A cab driver reported that a rider went into the Alhambra Manor Apartments on Alhambra Way and never returned to pay the fare.

January 18

Suspicious activity – Two men were seen on Tahoe Drive checking door handles of cars to see if they were locked.

Hazardous waste – Medical hazardous waste was found on the side of the road at Alhambra Way and Muir Station Road.

Theft from car – A purse was stolen from an unlocked car on Lake Brook Court.

Theft from porch – A package was stolen from a porch on Spring Lake Drive.

January 19

Clean getaway – A cell phone was reported stolen from Launderland on Alhambra Avenue.

Stolen car – A car was reported stolen from the parking lot of County Hospital on Alhambra Avenue.

Plowed over – A tractor ran over a stop sign on Howe Road.

January 20

Major injury accident – A car overturned on the southbound ramp to Highway 4 from Alhambra Avenue.

Forgot something – A man was reportedly walking near the corner of Midhill Drive toward the school, not wearing pants. He was gone by the time police arrived.

Make yourself at home – A woman reportedly let herself into the clubhouse at the Muir Creek Apartments on Morello Avenue, made popcorn and coffee, was asked to leave, and came back. She apparently did not live in the complex.

January 21

Slippery when wet – Cars were reportedly sliding on the ‘S’ curves at Marina Vista due to severe flooding.

Suspicious person – A man carrying cutters was seen looking into car windows on Heavenly Drive. He was gone when police arrived.
Throwing things – A woman in Sudz Laundrymat on Alhambra Avenue was reportedly throwing things at people.

Burglary – A home on Arreba Street was broken into and a flat screen TV, dishwasher and light fixtures were taken.

January 22

Assault – A woman on Richardson Street said she was grabbed and assaulted by two men, who hit her and took her phone and purse.

July 23

Explosive – A woman on Village Oaks Drive reported that someone let off some kind of exploding device in front of her driveway. They were gone by the time police arrived.

Writing on the wall – Six areas were reported tagged with graffiti at Hidden Valley School on Glacier Drive.

Fraud – A woman on Martindale Drive reported that she received two credit cards in the mail that she did not order. Another woman on Alhambra Way reported the same complaint an hour later.
