Police Log - Knives, Noise and Pizza Thieves

August 20

Close, but no car for you – Someone tried to steal a car on Pine Street; the ignition was tampered with and the wiring was pulled away from the dash.

After the dough – Someone broke a window at Round Table Pizza on Center Avenue and cut all the phone lines.

Pooped – A woman on Starflower Drive reported an ongoing problem with her neighbor’s dog defecating on her driveway.

Stop means stop – A resident of Barber Lane and Pleasant Hill Road Easet reported that five vehicles in a row ran the stop sign.

August 21

One way to win an argument – A customer of Whiskey Lane reported that two men were pulling knives on other customers.

Loud, party of three – Three different noise complaints were received about loud parties on Bush Street, Pine Street and Northpoint Court.

Talking too much – A man was arrested for suspicion of being drunk in public after he was reported talking in the back yard of a home on North Peak Place. The homeowner did not know the suspect.

No chicken, just cash – Someone broken into KFC on Arnold Drive and attempted to steal money from the cash register.

Not caring at Carrow’s – A man at Carrow’s on Center Avenue was reported drinking tequila and refused to pay his bill, throwing it at the server.

Must be a musician – A man at Round Table Pizza on Alhambra Avenue is reported on his hands and knees playing with pieces of string, talking to himself and making strange noises.

Hit and run – An 18-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on Pine Street and Harbor View Drive. The car drove away. The victim was treated for wrist pain and chest abrasions at County Hospital.
