Police Log -- Juveniles Throwing Rocks, Oranges, Furniture

The following information was taken from the April 4-April 6 Daily Police Log, and rewritten by Martinez Patch.

Wednesday, April 4, 2012

8:34 a.m. – A white female wearing a plaid wool jacket with a hood and sunglasses was reported to be looking in mailboxes on St. Malo Court.

9:19 a.m. – A white male, 50-ish with a gray beard and wearing a tan hooded jacket was reportedly opening up mailboxes on Vine Hill Way.

11:19 a.m. – A security entrance at Kaiser on Muir Road reported two vehicles had been vandalized, one window broken out.

11:19 a.m. – A burglary was reported at Home Depot on Arnold Drive.

12:05 p.m. – A student at Alhambra High School on E Street found a small bullet. It was placed in the principal’s office.

12:26 p.m. -- Sex offenses reported at Alhambra Manor Apartments on Alhambra Way.

2:38 p.m. --  An elderly white man wearing a black Adidas jacket and purple sweat pants and using a cane was reported to be exposing himself in the rear of Wheeler and Hallford on Ferry Street.  Arrest made.

4:19 p.m. -- Identify theft involving social security number on Viewpoint Court.

5: 26 p.m. – Two black male juveniles on Castro Street reported to have jumped a fence and began throwing furniture from back yard.

5:47 p.m. -- Caller on Redrock Place said a white male juvenile in a black hoodie with print and beige shorts came to a her door soliciting, verbally abused her when she said she was not interested. Left when confronted by the husband. Possibly left ini a small, gray four-door vehicle heading right on Sweetwater Drive.

7:31 p.m. – Identity theft on Gilger Avenue.

8:45 p.m. – Tenant and landlord verbal dispute reported on Escobar Street.

11:05 p.m. -- A prowler was reported in a back yard on Likins Avenue using a flashlight.

Thursday, April 5, 2012

1:17 a.m. -- Noise disturbance reported on Brookside Drive.

2:11 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at Ray’s Lounge on Ferry street, where two Russian men were kicking and pounding on a locked door, one 5 feet, 10 inches with shoulder length brown hair and one 5 feet, 4 inches and bald.

9:34 a.m. – Police advised a resident on Escobar Street regarding harassment issues with his landlord.

12:09 p.m. -- Three juveniles on the West end of the tressel at Alhambra Avenue at Route 4 were reported to be throwing rocks at passing cars.

12:17 p.m. -- A housesitter on Ashford Place reported a black Chihuahua lost.

12:45 p.m. – Twelve to 14 juveniles at F and Castro streets reported to be smoking marijuana and scaring passersby with two pit bulls.

1:08 p.m. – A man was reported to be hanging around the neighborhood of Morello Avenue and Brittany Hills Drive by day for a week or so, seldom leaving his silver Nissan.

3:47 p.m. -- Terrorist threats were reported on Donegal Way, with the caller and her husband receiving threats of bodily harm in text messages.

7:03 p.m. – Juveniles were reportedly hurling oranges from the top of the hill near the Diablo View neighborhood.

7:24 – A stolen vehicle, a gold Pontiac Sunfaire, was recovered in a rear parking lot near the emergency room at Contra Costa County Hospital on Alhambra Avenue.

9:06 -- A caller on Center Avenue reported that a female about 14 years old, wearing jeans and a white sweatshirt  and holding a teddy bear knocked on the door and asked for $15. Returned about 10 minutes later but would not tell her name, said she lives on Beechwood Drive.

9:24 p.m. -- Arrest made on an outstanding warrant at Arreba and Berrellessa streets.

9:09 a.m. -- Two to three males were reported fighting in a parking lot at Escobar and Estudillo streets. A man with long gray hair wearing a blue jacket was believed to be the aggressor, another was on the ground and a third apparently was not involved. No weapons found.

1:04 p.m. -- A resident requested advice about a student believed to be selling contraband out of the trunk of a car parked at Vicente Martinez High School on F Street.

1:34 p.m. – A resident at Saxon Street said she had received a call from Caltrans regarding a travel survey, gave certain information about her vehicle, walking and traveling but discovered Caltrans is not conducting a survey.

1:35 p.m. -- Police received a report that a man in a tan or silver Jeep Wrangler pulled a large knife on a juvenile at a Safeway on Alhambra Avenue, then hurled racist epithets to a black male before heading Southbound on Alhambra. The man is described as tall and white with long gray hair, and wearing a jean jacket. He was gone when police arrived.

2:27 p.m. -- Unauthorized use of a debit card was reported on Estudillo Street.  

10:53 p.m. – Arrest made for drunkenness on Las Juntas Street.

11:26 p.m. -- Woman told neighbor she fears violence from partner at Emerson Arms Apartments on Ward Street.
