March 26

Cursing at the clown – A man was yelling and cursing at the drive-through staff at the Jack in the Box on Alhambra Avenue about midnight.

Heading in the right direction – A group of 10 to 12 teenagers jumped a fence and began to TP a house on Sequoia Drive, chased by the resident of the house next door, which also got TP’d. The kids were last seen heading toward Juvenile Hall, which seems appropriate.

Gas guzzler – A man was seen stealing gas from county cars on Arnold Drive. He left a hose in one of the cars.

Disorder on the court – A group of boys made a mess on the basketball courts at Morello Hills Park with packing material.

March 27

Stolen car – Reported on Castro Street.

White powder day – A bag of crystalline white powder was found on Pine Street.

March 28

Neighborhood hero – A resident of Alhambra Avenue and Ward Street chased two men who were pushing around a 13-year-old boy on a scooter.

Loose luggage – A large suitcase was found at the corner of Ferry and Brown streets.

Theft from car – A purse was stolen from an unlocked car that was parked in an open garage on Mono Drive.

Stolen car – A car was stolen from Morello Court.

Stealing John Muir’s tools ­– Someone broke into the John Muir Carriage House and the tool shed and stole some tools.

Physical graffiti – Someone fired a bullet hole through the window of Citibank on Main Street.

Terrible way to get exercise – A Rottweiler was chasing people in the area of F and Castro streets.

March 29

Smash and grab – Change was stolen from a car on Wyoming Street.

Very petty theft – A truck was seen behind the downtown Safeway store attempting to take cardboard.

Injured animal – A dog was reportedly run over by three dirt bikes speeding though Rankin Park.

Burglar is the startled one – A woman discovered a burglar in the State Farm Insurance office on Arnold Drive. The startled burglar ran away.

Arrest in armed robbery – Paul Frakes, who was seen loading a shotgun outside of Home Depot on Arnold Drive, was arrested after a brief chase.

March 30

Milk crates were the first clue – Two men and a woman were seen dismantling a car that was sitting on milk crates in the Chase Bank parking lot.

When a headband is not enough – A woman was arrested for taking off her clothes and walking toward the parking lot at Country Waffles on Arnold Drive.

Tagging the dentist – Dr. Karbassi’s office doors on Green Street were spray painted with graffiti several nights in a row.

Stolen car – A car was stolen overnight on Maywood Lane.

Return thief – A man who was seen on camera stealing from Antiques on the Main returned to the store.

Pushy solicitor – A man selling magazines door to door on Sherree Court was described as being very pushy. He continued to ring the bell after being informed the resident was not interested.

Olfactory assault – A “horrible chemical smell” was reported on Cherrywood Lane after a man was seen spray painting his car and dumping something into the gutter.

March 31

Roller havoc – Roller skaters were making a lot of noise about 1 a.m. on Estudillo and Ferry streets.

When potholes eat garbage trucks – A large sinkhole on Paradise Drive caused a garbage truck to sink two to three feet.

Lettuce be friends – A woman on Arana Drive contacted police about her neighbor putting ketchup on her car.

Fast response not required – A turtle was found at the Sportman’s Club on Embarcadero and Animal Control was notified.

Smash and grab –Cars were broken into overnight at Auto Europa on Ward Street, and on Buena Vida Court and on Serrano Avenue.
