POLICE LOG: Break-in At Vacant Apartment; Fraud; Traffic Accident

Selections from the Martinez Police Department daily log for Tuesday, August 13:

• 1:06 p.m.: A woman reported seeing a white male break into a vacant unit at Muir Creek Apartments on Morello Avenue. She said he appeared to be under the influence and searching for a lost bag of marijuana.
• 5:50 p.m.: A suspect cashed a fraudulent check for $755.02 at Wells Fargo on Main Street.
• 9:47 p.m.: A white van ran into a fence on Saxon Street. An unresponsive person was found inside the van. Contra Costa Fire was called in to assist.
