Police Log: BB Gun Fired Near D.A.'s Office, Vehicle Hits House, Groceries Skip Checkout Line

The following information was taken from the Daily Police Log and rewritten by Martinez Patch.

November 12

Noise disturbance - 2:29 a.m. Two people were being loud on Carquinez Scenic Drive, "laughing and yelling but not fighting." They quieted down.

Noise disturbance - 3:22 a.m. A man was yelling in a hallway, "the same subject that is always being loud." He quieted down too.

Warrant arrest - 8:56 a.m. A man was arrested on a local warrant at Morello Avenue and Arnold Drive.

Computer theft - 9:37 a.m. A Walmart employee reported that a surveillance camera showed someone running out the back of the store with a computer valued at $398.

Cycling injury - 10:18 a.m. A cyclist suffered a head injury in an accident on Carquinez Scenic Drive.

Drunk in public - 1:48 p.m. A woman appeared intoxicated and fell when she tried to board a bus at the Alhambra Avenue Safeway. She was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

Unhappy with D.A.? - 3:02 p.m. Someone shot out a window with a BB gun at the District Attorney's Office on Ward Street.

Locked in - 7:01 p.m. Someone got stuck inside the gates of a public storage facility on Arnold Drive. It appears the police helped them find a way out.

Car off the road - 10:10 p.m. A driver went off southbound Highway 4 a half-mile before the Alhambra Avenue exit, possibly into the ravine. The Califoria Highway Patrol was notified.

November 13

Noise complaint - 12:24 a.m. Loud music was reported on Ashwood Drive. They turned it down, or maybe off. 

Damage to vehicle - 10:30 a.m. Someone threw a brick threough the back window of a parked vehicle on Rangeview Place.

Home break-in - 1:10 p.m. A residential burglary occurred sometime over the weekend at a home on Vineta Drive.

Two men, two bags - 3:20 p.m. Suspicious activity was reported at the Ozol Train Yard on Embarcadero: two men carrying trash bags were walking near the water. Police said it checked out okay.

Live wire - 8:43 p.m. Someone reported that a wire on a Donald Avenue telephone pole appeared to be "live," hot but not on fire. The fire department was notified.

November 14

Vehicle vs. house - 2:02 a.m. A vehicle hit a house on Ashford Place. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Credit card fraud - 8:30 a.m. A Fig Tree Lane residnt reported fraudulent charges on their credit card.

Robbery - 9:10 a.m. Someone reported being robbed at the Quik Stop Market on Alhambra Avenue about 40 minutes earlier.

Train passenger injured - 9:50 a.m. An ambulance was requested for a passenger who fell on the Amtrak tracks on Marina Vista.

Residential burglary - 3:44 p.m. Someone apparently entered a home on Canyon Way through a side kitchen door during the day, but nothing was reported missing.

Grocery theft - 4:46 p.m. An employee of the Lucky supermarket on Arnold Drive reported that a blonde woman wheeled a basket full of groceries she hadn't paid for out of the store. The woman and the groceries drove away a black SUV.

Attempted auto theft - 7:47 p.m. A man sitting in his car at the Rite Aid store on Arnold Drive rported that another man came up to the car, threatened him with a knife and tried to steal the vehicle.
