Police Log — A Stolen Dog, Stolen Cars, and a Stubborn, Non-Sober Man

August 16

When doughnuts break your truck – A resident of Palm Avenue reported a truck doing doughnuts in front of the resident’s home, and then the truck broke down. It coasted down the hill.

Stolen cars – A car was stolen on Shadow Falls Drive, and another stolen from Pine Street a little later.

Bad review – A woman on Farm Lane Road reported that someone wrote “jerk” in black marker on her car.

Burglary – A home on Hidden Oaks Lane was ransacked.

Not so entertaining – A large entertainment center was blocking the sidewalk on Fountainhead Drive.

Stubborn until arrested – Police received complaints about a man in front of Walmart on Arnold Drive harassing customers, refusing to leave when asked to move on. An hour later, the same man was doing the same thing at the Cue and Brew next door. Police arrested him on suspicion of public drunkenness.

Dog stolen – One of two Yorkies was stolen from a home on Hidden Lakes Court. The other dog was left behind.

Kids throwing trees – A group of kids were reported throwing trees on the side of Eagle Marine on North Court Street.

Smash and grab – A car window was broken and a purse and other items taken from the parking lot of 24 Hour Fitness on Alhambra Avenue.

Wrong way –
A man in the Lotus Apartmens on Alhambra Avenue reported that someone was playing a stereo in the courtyard, and when asked to turn it down, turned it up instead.

August 17

Not that kind of spit –
A man on Las Juntas Street reported that he was barbequing on his balcony and the woman above him was spitting on him.

A thin line between charity and theft –
A woman on Blue Ridge Driver reported that she left items for charity outside her home, and twice different people not associated with that charity tried to take the items.

Rock show –
A man was reported sitting in the pond at Shoreline Park throwing rocks.
