Pedestrian Hit At The Corner of Brown St and Pacheco Blvd.

A 56-year-old man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 56-year-old Martinez resident was struck by a car at about 8:15 am at the intersection of Brown Street and Pacheco Blvd., according to Martinez police Lt. Jon Sylvia.

The unidentified resident suffered life-threatening injuries and is being treated at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.

"Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out on the part of the driver," Sylvia said. "It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were consumed by the pedestrian."
