No Injuries In Sunday's Suspicious Fire

The fire, which was reported around 11:15 p.m., was brought under control in 20 minutes. Witnesses saw at least one homemade explosive on the scene.

A fire that is being labeled "suspicious" was reported at the mall on the 500 block of Contra Costa Boulevard Sunday night. The one-alarm blaze was knocked down by fire crews in about 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported.

Reports of the blaze came in around 11:15 p.m. Crews saw smoke as they arrived on the scene, and at least one witness reported seeing a beer bottle filled with white liquid and a rag coming out of the top lying outside one of the establishments.

The fire was under control in about 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported, according to the Con Fire dispatcher.

It was not immediately known how many businesses in the strip mall were affected by the fire. A nail salon and massage parlor were damaged by the flames, and other stores, including a futon shop, suffered smoke damage.

An arson inspector was summoned to the scene around 12:30 a.m. to look into what caused the blaze.

What is there to say? Amerikans getting more cowardly every day. Passive-aggressiveness is cowardly. If you're angry, let the object of your anger know, in an acceptable way. Don't take your anger out on someone or something that has nothing to do with the cause of your feelings.
