MPD Reports: DUI Arrest; Vehicle Break-ins
Martinez Police officers were busy Monday making a DUI arrest and taking several reports about home and auto burglaries.

At around 1:30 in the morning, Michael Osage was pulled over and arrested for alleged DUI. The traffic stop by a Martinez Police Department officer happened at Alhambra Avenue and H Street.
A home burglary was reported just after 4:30 a.m. when a resident discovered that someone had cut the padlock off her garage on Arlington Way. A mountain bike worth more than $500 was reported stolen.

A catalytic converter was stolen off an SUV overnight on Jeanne Circle, near Hidden Lakes Park. The vehicle targeted was a Toyota 4Runner.
Two vehicles were broken into—one at the Park N Ride lot at Franklin Canyon Road and Alhambra Avenue and the other on Center Avenue.

One more thing—if you see a hitchhiker wearing an electronic ankle monitoring bracelet—it’s probably a bad idea to pick him up. When officers arrived to check out a call about the hitchhiker at Morello Avenue and Center Avenue, he was gone.
