Martinez PD: Woman Ran Off With The Tip Jar!

Also, a bag of money stolen from the school cafeteria and other low and criminal behavior in Martinez police reports from Feb. 8-11.

Feb. 8
Glove box ransacked. At 10:08 a.m., a resident reported to Martinez police medical equipment stolen sometime overnight from the glove box of a vehicle at the Muir Creek Apartments on Martinez.

Bag man? A bag containing $347 from the cafeteria at Hidden Valley Elementary on Glacier Drive was stolen, sometime after 1 p.m. Feb. 7. Police are investigating.

Feb. 10
No reciprocity. At 8:37 a.m., two cars backed up into each other at Lucky on Arnold Drive. One driver politely offered to exchange insurance information. The other — described as a white man in his forties who wears glasses — refused and drove off in a dark blue or black Honda Accord.

Bad marina behavior. At 2:14 p.m., a citizen reported a white man in a Marina parking lot, walking on top of parked cars, throwing rocks and caterwauling. The reporting party thought the man in blue plaid shorts and white T-shirt was drunk.

Feb. 11
Gratuities redirected. How low can one get at Kinders on Center Avenue? At 4:04 p.m. a citizen reported that a woman in her twenties grabbed the tip jar with about $150 in it. She is captured on restaurant video. Police are investigating.
