Martinez PD: Who is Locked in the Hotel Room?

Also, an alarming bonfire and other party favors, unusual and sometimes criminal behavior reflected in Martinez police reports from March 14 to March 16.

March 14
Uncivil exchange. At 10:47 a.m. at Court Street and Main Street, two vehicles collided, and the owner of one required some Martinez police advice in order to be convinced to exchange insurance information with the other driver.

March 15
Banging on the window. At 3:27 p.m., officers warned a possible transient described as a white man about 30 years old, wearing a red basketball jersey, steering a shopping cart. He was reportedly banging on the window of Cole Real Estate on Alhambra Avenue.

Bloody ear. Reported at 4:24 p.m., a 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged in a domestic violence assault in which she grabbed a broken glass and struck a man with it. He suffered a cut on his ear and a hearing decrease, according to the police report.

March 16
Hotel dispute. At 11:39 a.m., officers investigated a dispute at a hotel on Alhambra Avenue and deemed it a civil matter. A guest at the hotel demanded a refund, saying that a maid had locked herself in the guest's room and would not let the guest in. The guest suggested some items were missing from his or her luggage.

Smoldering party. Reported at 9:16 p.m., officers gave advice to the organizers of a party on Gilger Avenue that had a big bonfire going. A neighbor was concerned the blaze might touch off somebody's roof in the neighborhood.
