Man Dies in Tractor Accident

Officials have not yet released the name of the 50-year-old man who was found pinned under a tractor in unincorporated Contra Costa County

A man died today when a tractor he was driving on rural ranchland in unincorporated Contra Costa County went over an embankment and rolled about 200 feet, a fire captain said.
 
The man, identified as being in his mid 50s, was found dead this evening after being pinned beneath the tractor, according to Contra Costa County fire Capt. Robert Marshall. Emergency crews received a report of an overturned farm vehicle shortly after 6:30 p.m. on private property located near Bear Creek Road just south of Alhambra Valley Road, according to Marshall.
 
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the man pinned beneath a piece a tractor. Paramedics arrived and declared the man deceased, Marshall said. The incident remains under investigation, according to Marshall.
