Parts of Pacheco Boulevard were shut down during the ordeal. No injuries reported.

A suspect with a gun was arrested and a roadway off state Highway 4 near Martinez partially closed after the suspect reportedly fired shots into the air, law enforcement officers said.

Contra Costa County sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded around 3:45 p.m. to a report of shots fired in front of a home at 4754 Pacheco Blvd., according to the CHP.

A male suspect reportedly exited the home, fired several shots into the air and went back into the residence, sheriff's office spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

The CHP shut down Pacheco Boulevard near the home and sheriff's deputies were able to arrest the suspect, according to Lee.

No injuries were reported.
