FBI Drug Raid in Contra Costa County Nets Four Arrests

The FBI served six search warrants at homes in Oakley, Antioch, Pittsburg and Concord.

Federal and local authorities conducted a drug raid in four cities across Contra Costa County Tuesday morning, an FBI spokesman said.

The FBI served six search warrants at homes in Oakley, Antioch, Pittsburg and Concord Tuesday morning around 6 a.m., FBI spokesman Peter Lee said.

A SWAT team assisted in the raid and authorities seized methamphetamine and cocaine, he said. He said four people were arrested in connection to the drug raid without incident. Lee did not know if money or weapons were recovered in the raid.

One of the suspects, 47-year-old Jorge Herrera, was arrested in Pittsburg, Lee said. Authorities are not releasing the names of the three other suspects.

Lee said the FBI agents who worked on the raid were on furlough and will not be compensated until Congress passes legislation ending the federal government shutdown.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office and Antioch police assisted the FBI in the raid.
