By Bay City News Service

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a missing elderly woman believed to be somewhere in El Sobrante, according to an alert from the Contra Costa County Community Warning System.

Martha Franks, 71, was last seen around 1 p.m. on Kay Ann Court off of San Pablo Dam Road and is believed to still be in the same neighborhood, according to the alert.

Franks is described as a Hispanic woman who is roughly 5 feet tall and weighs about 110 pounds with dark gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long black jacket, black pants, a black and gray shirt and black shoes.

She is believed to be in need of medical attention and may appear confused or agitated, county authorities said.

Anyone who believes they have seen Franks or has any information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office at (925) 646-2441.
