An Overnight Crash Had Closed Down Lanes of Highway 4

A crash involving three cars was reported on westbound Highway 4, just west of A Street in Antioch, around 11:25 p.m. Tuesday.

All lanes of westbound state Highway 4 in Antioch have reopened this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A crash involving three cars was reported on westbound Highway 4, just west of A Street, around 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

Caggiano did not know what led to the crash but said Antioch police asked the CHP for assistance for an on-going incident.

A Sig-alert was issued at 11:44 p.m. when the CHP closed westbound Highway 4 near A Street.

Caggiano said Antioch police might have been searching for a suspect. Further details about the incident were not immediately available.

The Sig-alert was cancelled when all lanes were reopened at 12:59 a.m.
