Martinez residents in the Vine Hill neighborhood were in the dark Saturday evening while crews tried to repair downed power lines. Vine Hill Way was reportedly closed by the police from early Saturday evening until about 5 a.m. Sunday.
Martinez Police reported a vehicle hit a power pole at 6:49 p.m. near Pine Meadows Golf Course, knocking down power lines and wires. There were no confirmed reports of injuries.
Residents reported power was affected along Ashwood Drive. There were also unconfirmed reports of fallen branches hitting power lines.
