A Couple Horses With The Highway Blues

County Animal Services corral them on the Pacheco Boulevard off-ramp of Highway 680.

Bay City News Service

Two horses got out of their enclosure and wandered onto Interstate Highway 680 near Martinez early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The horses ran down the Pacheco Boulevard off-ramp around 2 a.m. after loose fencing allowed them to break free from their pen, according to the CHP. They were not hit by any passing cars, and were safely corralled by Contra Costa County Animal Services personnel
