Mountain View neighbors concerned about fireworks, rockets, etc (continued discussion)

Mtn. View neighbors: I spoke w/fire dept. today re: what we can do about the hazard & nuisance of fireworks - which are illegal throughout CC County. 1) try to determine the exact location; photos/video a bonus 2) call the sheriff 925-646-2441 and request that a deputy follow through with you afterwards; 3) also call the county fire investigation unit 925-942-9140 & lv a detailed message on their line; they are serious abt. this problem and if given an address they will follow through during their reg. business hours (Geoff Spinner, Investigator) said we can also call his personal line 925-941-3537). Unfortunately this is out of Martinez city jurisdiction but if we all keep reporting hopefully the offenders will pay for their actions with a sizable fine; imprisonment for sales. I am being given posters by the FD's Public Education department to put up on posts in Mtn. View. Please reply to this post if you'd like some for the blocks near your house.
