Huge Turnout For Main Street Light Parade on Friday

Tens of hundreds of people lined the streets of downtown Martinez to see the parade, and the new Main Street lights.

Shortly after the new lights lining Main Street were turned on Friday evening, a siren signaled the beginning of the annual Light Parade, an event that this year was witnessed by more people than ever, thanks to great weather.

An estimated 2,500 people were on hand to watch as old time cars, acrobats, clowns, kids of all ages and even some snowmen paraded by, lit up with lights, or just with the spirit of the season.

It was a memorable parade, and Martinez Patch was on hand to capture it for you.
