Community Corner

"The Ladies Have Something To Say" exhibit

The Contra Costa County Historical Society presents a celebration of the centennial of California women having the right to vote -- October 10, 1911.  An exhibit of authentic campaign memorablia, a vintage polling booth, county records of the voting results by community and a record of who stepped up to register for the 1912 election will be on display with photos and documents, replicas of banners, signs and campaign logos plus honoring women of our own era who have made a positive impact in government.  The exhibit will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and third Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Nov. 23.  An opening reception will be held on Sept 11 from 1 to 4 p.m.  The public is welcome
