Week In Review: The Martinez File

Did you miss some of the stories from Martinez Patch earlier in the week?

Alhambra High Principal Nermin Fraser is taking a job closer to home. In an interview with Martinez Patch, she talked about accomplishments at Alhambra: adding more than a dozen new courses, launching an anti-bully program, and establishing a college and career planning program for all students.

County Supervisor Federal Glover communicated his vision of an economic development zone for the northern waterfront from Richmond to Oakley.

What was it like for Peace Corps volunteers in the 1960s? We get a flavor from Harriett Burt's blog, with insights from Nancy Andal. Nancy was pals with Nancy Ann Boyd in the Philippines. Boyd died in a plane crash a half-century ago, and Martinez commemorated the sad event with a gathering Saturday at Nancy Boyd Park.

Community volunteers were helping to search for Alhambra High student Ryan Menjiver, 18, who went missing earlier in the week.
