It's FRIDAY, May 27, 2011. This is a holiday weekend, and there is a lot going on around here if you're planning to stay in town. If you are driving somewhere, travel safely, please - we want you back safe and sound next week.
- Today is the at City Hall, sponsored by the Recreation Department. This is a great class to consider if you're going to start a summer business. Hurry, though. It's this morning.
- I have to make a correction to the calendar for Armando's today - the Happy Hour and a Half will not be Sin Silver, as advertised. The 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. show will be Jim Caroompas (blush), followed at 8 p.m. by the Sin will be back to the Happy Hour next Friday.
- Tomorrow you may want to head to Vallejo to check out Hans Skalagard's paintings of at the Maritime Museum.
- Sunday the exhibit will take place in Benicia.
- Monday will be the Martinez tribute to those who served, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Alhambra Cemetery, then at 10 a.m. at the All Veterans Memorial at the corner of Alhambra Avenue and Berrellesa Street.
