The Holiday Edition

There's a lot going on this weekend if you plan to stay in town.

It's FRIDAY, May 27, 2011. This is a holiday weekend, and there is a lot going on around here if you're planning to stay in town. If you are driving somewhere, travel safely, please - we want you back safe and sound next week.

  1. Today is the at City Hall, sponsored by the Recreation Department. This is a great class to consider if you're going to start a summer business. Hurry, though. It's this morning. 
  2. I have to make a correction to the calendar for Armando's today - the Happy Hour and a Half will not be Sin Silver, as advertised. The 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. show will be Jim Caroompas (blush), followed at 8 p.m. by the Sin will be back to the Happy Hour next Friday.
  3. Tomorrow you may want to head to Vallejo to check out Hans Skalagard's paintings of at the Maritime Museum. 
  4. Sunday the exhibit will take place in Benicia. 
  5. Monday will be the Martinez tribute to those who served, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Alhambra Cemetery, then at 10 a.m. at the All Veterans Memorial at the corner of Alhambra Avenue and Berrellesa Street.
